In the book of Isaiah, the prophet mentions the armor that God wears.  It is different than the armor mentioned in Eph. 6 because it mentions a “cloak of zeal”.   What is this cloak of zeal that God puts on for battle? Are we to put on the same cloak?  If so, how and when?

So much of the idolatry in our world can be traced back to Nimrod.  Nimrod who is described as a mighty hunter and a mighty leader went down a weak path of idolatry.  This sermon looks at the weakness of idolatry and the strength of the one true God.

At baptism we entered into a covenant with God the Father and Jesus Christ where we agreed that Jesus Christ is our Savior, Lord and Master, and soon coming King.  He is our number one boss, and His instructions trump any earthly boss's directives.  We work for Him.  As we press toward the Kingdom of God, we must remember what it means to be fellow workers in Christ. 

Defining what success is can be challenging because success to one individual may not be success to another.  What is a real success and how do we find complete success in life?  Is it possible to have complete success?  This sermon looks at the “whole matter” of life and success.

One thing we really enjoyed at the Feast of Tabernacles was being in God’s house!  The Feast of Tabernacles reminds us of what is truly important, and that is the permanence to come and not the temporariness of this physical life.  What must we do to dwell in God’s house for eternity?  How does it relate to abiding with Christ today?

Modern religions often miss the full meaning and potential of the Day of Pentecost, either by not recognizing Christ and the New Testament or ignoring the Old Testament and Law as nailed to the cross.  Understanding the harmony of the Old and New Covenants help unlock the potential of the first fruits of God.

The Feast of Pentecost reminds us of the transformation that God has started with the Church of God.  In Leviticus 23 there is a wonderful lesson we can glean regarding our responsibility as the firstfruits of God.  It has to do with changing our perspective, thinking less about ourselves and more about others.  This sermon looks at having less of a mirror mind and the transformation from mirrors to windows.

Many have mistakenly believed that God has predestined some to inherit eternal life and others to eternal damnation.  Is our eternal destination predetermined?  Do we have any responsibility with what our future will be?  This sermon looks at the idea of predestination and our Christian calling.

When Moses needed reassurance God provided him 7 “I will” statements that let him know what He was going to do.  These 7 “I will” statements remind us of the spiritual deliverance that God is providing for His people even today. This sermon reviews the encouraging statements.

The children of Israel had to go through various trials, as God delivered them from being slaves in Egypt.  Even though God allowed them to be tested and go through numerous trials, God was with them every step of the way and He led them to a rich fulfillment.  As we march toward the promised land, that being the Kingdom of God and life eternally, how does God provide His people strength and comfort as we go through this life?

As a Christian, our goal and aim is to overcome sin and to pursue the righteousness of God.  We are to grow and overcome until we all reach unity and knowledge of the Son of God, as we mature to the full measure of the stature of Christ.  This is the goal.  Why can we confidently say “we shall overcome”?
